Encouraging Today's Women, Inc. is dedicated to offering women of all denominations encouragement, strength, and renewed hope in Jesus Christ through our life changing conferences and to reach out and minister to the needs of women in the community.

A Word From The Heart of The Founder

In the spring of 2004, I presented a concert at a small church in NC.  As I sang one of my original songs God grabbed my attention, spoke into my spirit and said, "I want you to minister to women."  For a short moment He allowed me to only see the ladies who were there.  As I looked into their eyes, I caught a glimpse of their struggles, pains and worries.  All at once that Lord touched the pastor's wife and she stood with her arms raised to the Heavens weeping and crying out to Him.  The women began coming to the altar with the men following!  
 
This was the beginning of a wonderful work God planted in my heart.  I felt the Lord was leading me to host conferences and as I prayed and sought His will, He gave me two conference topics entitled "Hope for Today" and "Knowing God".  I speak and sing for women's events all across the country and have found that women from all walks of life have one thing in common and that is the need to be encouraged with the Hope of Jesus Christ and through much prayer Encouraging Today's Women was formed.  
 
Not long after, I was sitting at the computer in my office when the Lord spoke to me and said, "Encouraging Today's Women is for the hinges."  I immediately looked over at the hinges on my office door.  The realization hit me that the door needed those hinges in order to open AND to remain open!  I believe that God was showing me that our conferences are for the women in the local church who help to keep the doors of the church open! 
 
Today's women have a sincere desire to serve God, but often our lives become a balancing act with family, friends, work and church.  If we are not careful, we become discourage din our service and dissatisfied with our life.  God wants you to know that He has not forgotten about you!  He loves you and wants to fill His precious hinges with fresh oil that pours through Encouraging Today's Women conferences!  
 
Annette and her husband Harold founded Encouraging Today's Women in 2009 and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2010. We believe in getting involved in the community that's why Encouraging Today's Women, Inc. remains active through community service initiatives geared toward improving the quality of life for others. A lot of good families have found themselves at a point of need due to the failing economy. Through donations from churches and individuals, Encouraging Today's Women, Inc. provides families with needed hygiene items that cannot be purchased with food stamps and we encourage community outreach at our conferences.
 
We also minister to women in the Salvation Army homeless shelter in Athens, GA and the Walton County GA correctional institute.   Many women have been saved at our conferences as well as through this outreach and countless others are encouraged in the hope of Christ!

Dr. Anita Williamson - guest speaker for Encouraging Today's Women

Annette is excited to include guest speaker Dr. Anita Williamson!

Anita is a graduate of North Carolina College of Theology with a Doctorate Degree in Biblical Counseling and is currently a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She assists her husband Kenny in full time evangelism and is a missionary to China. Anita takes a comical and biblical approach to life's difficulties after her own experiences.

"Hope for Today"

Isaiah 40:31 "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

The goal for this conference is to encourage women in the hope of Christ! We will discover how God delivered Sarah, Hagar, The Shunnamite Woman, Bathsheba and the Woman with the issue of Blood from a life of rejection, guilt, fear, unbelief, bitterness, shame and disappointment and gave them joy, laughter, peace, victory, healing and hope. God longs to do the same for you!

"Knowing God"

Jeremiah 24:7 "And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: For they shall return unto me with their whole heart."

The goal for this conference is to encourage women to exercise great faith and holy boldness as we fully surrender to God's will for our lives - to passionately pursue God and to know Him - not about Him or what He can do for you - but to Know God Himself! Through the lives of Mrs. Noah, Jehosheba, The Syrophoenician Woman, The Woman who lived a sinful life, and the Woman at the well we gain a greater insight of who God is.
