Biography

Annette’s life is a pilgrimage of the pursuit for God’s own heart. Born into a strong Christian family with solid beliefs, she was taught the Scriptures and accepted Jesus Christ as a child.

Professionally trained in music from the age of nine, Annette first experienced the use of her talent as a church pianist.  It wasn’t uncommon for her to accompany singing groups or soloists while the other children were playing.  Annette served as pianist at Bethel Baptist Church in Bethlehem Georgia from her youth up through her early twenties.  She later served as a Music Director at Bethlehem First Baptist Church for 5 years. God was beginning to establish Annette’s purpose in life.

At 16, Annette desired to write music. As she grew spiritually in the Lord, she asked God’s guidance. From that point He gave Annette many songs and opened doors for her to share Him with others. Annette started to travel with a southern gospel group entitled the Son Light Singers.

Annette served as Administrator for Come Alive Ministries, a local Crisis Pregnancy Center for 2 years before resigning in November 2001. She currently serves on the Come Alive Ministries Board of Directors.  Helping Children is dear to her heart.  Annette believes we must stand up and be a voice for children who are sick or in trouble whether inside the womb or out.

After totally surrendering herself to God in 2002, He called her into a solo music ministry where she travels and ministers the word of God through music that He has given her. Annette has recorded 10 albums and is so grateful to God for entrusting her to pen most of the songs herself. Her challenging lyrics and worshipful music has encouraged listeners all across the U.S. to open their hearts to God.

Annette has written and recorded two pro-life songs and was given the opportunity to sing at the 2001 Georgia Right to Life banquet. The song “Memories” was included on a GRTL promotional CD. Annette has sang at the Georgia State Capital on several occasions one of which includes the Justice Foundation’s historic Rule 60 Motion that was filed in August 2003 to overturn the Doe vs. Bolton case which legalized late term abortion.

Annette has donated her time to support fund raisers for the Saint Jude Children’s Hospital The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, and The MS Kids Connection.

Annette and her husband Harold live in Bethlehem, GA with their 2 children, Weston and Christopher. The family are active members of The Church at Winder in Winder, Georgia.  Annette sings on the praise team, and is actively involved in the ladies ministry. The family helps with church activities and events when possible.

Annette accepted the call to teach at the 2003 Women’s Conference at her home church. Through her obedience, God has given her the vision of presenting HOPE to women of God through the study of different women in the Bible. Annette has become a much sought after speaker for ladies conferences and one day seminars.

Annette’s appears regularly on TV57 in Atlanta, Georgia.  Other TV appearances include TBN Atlanta Georgia, Day Star Christian Television Ashland Kentucky, Dove Christian Broadcasting Greenville South Carolina, WTCT Global Television Marion Illinois and Nashville Tennessee, Living Faith TV Abingdon Virginia, TV 49 Augusta Georgia, UC TV 3 Ft. Oglethorpe Georgia and several video shows aired on Gospel Music Television, North Georgia Gospel and the Country Gospel Network.

Annette’s songs including “None But Jesus” which held it's place on the Singing News Chart from July - October 2006, can be heard on radio stations all over the nation. She has seen many people come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and has received countless letters and emails of encouragement from people whose lives have been changed through her songs.

Harold and Annette started MyRapha Music in 2005. The purpose of this company is to promote Jesus Christ through Annette Herndon Ministries. Annette knows that she is subject to her husband and it is only through his prayer, leadership and support that she is able to carry out God’s call on her life. The family work together for God as a team.

Annette knows she must trust God and seek His guidance in all things and her accomplishments are made possible only by His divine grace.
